Woodblock printing is a technique for printing text, images or patterns on textiles and paper, used widely throughout East Asia. It originated in China and is one of the most ancient methods of textile printing. Block Printing, when done by hand, is a slow process. It is, however, capable of yielding highly artistic results, some of which are unobtainable by any other method.
